“Math in Moscow” is a prestigious program of the Independent University of Moscow, The Higher School of Economics, and Moscow Center for Continuous Mathematical Education inviting foreign math undergraduates to spend a semester in Moscow. The program boasts high level research-oriented courses in the Russian mathematical tradition with small class sizes that allow students to work closely with passionate, distinguished professors. Every semester, a small cohort of students is selected out of a large, competitive applicant pool. With gracious support from the UMSL math department, math undergraduate Gabriel Brenner attended the Spring semester program graduating with distinction. Some of the other home institutions represented include Carnegie Mellon University, ETH Zürich and Harvey Mudd College.
